Did you know that voice user interfaces (VUIs) are being used personalize healthcare and even to improve patient outcomes?

Join us on Thursday, July 19th to learn about the exciting ways in which companies are using voice-first technology to improve healthcare, and how you can, too. After giving an overview of the voice-first industry, Ilana will take you through practical tips you can use to design your own conversations, including how to broach even the most sensitive of health topics and how to keep patients engaged over time.

This event is presented by IxDA Seattle and the Design for Healthcare Meetup, and is supported by Socrata.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Ilana Shalowitz is the Voice UI Design Manager at Wolters Kluwer Health (Emmi) where she specializes in combining conversation design principles and technology to improve population health outcomes. Her approach to voice design is primarily anthropological: the foundations of her designs rest on understanding the cultural underpinnings of behavior and associated symbolism. Ilana's work has been featured nationally and internationally, and she will be delivering the keynote address at the Voice of Healthcare Summit this August.
