INOCENTE won the Academy Awared for Best Documentary Short. It follows the story of Inocente, a teenage Latina artist who overcame poverty and homelessness through her whimsical, colorful art.
A Q&A follows the screening. Inocente and three adults who mentor young artists will comprise the panel. Matt D'Arrigo from A Reason to Survive (ARTS) in San Diego, Troy Carter from Sanctuary Art Center in Seattle's University District and moderator Sandra Jackson Dumont of Seattle Art Museum will participate.
