Articulating Design Decisions

  • WeWork 500 Yale Avenue North Seattle, WA, 98109 United States (map)

As we dive into a series of talks centered around Civic UX, we start at the very beginning by discovering our skill at explaining good design to other non-designers. Tom Greever will be joining us to discuss his new book from O'Reilly Media, Articulating Design Decisions. As designers, we have the responsibility to our communities to make sure that good design remains at the forefront of the conversation. The ability to effectively articulate design decisions is critical to the success of any project, because the most articulate person often wins. Whether it be community volunteers, city managers, or elected politicians - we need to have the tools to talk about design effectively with the goal of winning them over and creating the best user experience. (You do not need to have read the book to participate.)
