Call for Speakers: Building Trust Through Design
We are accepting proposals for an evening of lightning talks!
Join IxDA Seattle at the Seattle Design Festival
At our upcoming Community Speakers: Building Trust Through Design event on Monday, September 17th, we'll be showcasing our community's stories on designing for trust.
This event is part of a lineup of "Trust" related stories and events at the Seattle Design Festival.
Why Trust?
As society progresses, our relationships and ties to each other become increasingly complex. When we mediate our conversations with technology, does that change our relationships with one another? Does technology blur the lines of trust between us, or change our concepts of trust? What are our personal responsibilities when building impactful products that people interact with? Do we have that responsibility at all? As designers and technologists how do we enhance, rather than deteriorate, trust?
About the format
We are looking for speakers to give a short (up to 10 minutes) talk inspired by these prompts. Your presentation does not have to be a direct response to those questions, but it should address a specific aspect of the intersection of Trust and Design that you’re passionate about.
To submit a lightning talk proposal please fill out the proposal form by August 20, 2018.
