Phillip Hunter: Designing with Experience Profiles

  • Impact Hub 220 2nd Ave S. Seattle, WA USA (map)

The IA/UX Meetup hosts Phillip Hunter, local UX evangelists, speaker and volunteer, for a talk on experience profiles.

Explore Experience Profiles as a way of getting better at creating great experiences for people. Emotions, attitudes, and thoughts—fully conscious or lurking below the surface—make a tremendous and usually overriding difference in every experience. They can be the singular forces that move someone toward (or away from) a goal within a digital interaction.

Yet, because we are tech-focused and moving quickly to get designs shipped, these personal and intangible elements are often disregarded because they are difficult to see, define, assess, plan for, and measure. Combining the philosophy of phenomenology, the power of user research, and the flexibility of continuums, Experience Profiling is a method and tool to bring the intangible but powerful qualities of human experience into focus and use.
