IxDA Seattle is pleased to host Jenny Kam as part of our third annual design-thinking workshops as part of this year's Seattle Design Festival: Design in Motion.
This event is part of a full day of workshops. You can attend one or all workshops. Save 25% when you attend all three workshop.
Regular $20 / Students $10
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
We are in the age of the mashup. People are seamlessly weaving together elements from multiple distinct sources to produce fresh and unexpected results in video, music, dance, and even food. In this workshop, you will explore the meaning and impact of the mashup through hands-on, group exercises and discuss how this approach can help uncover compelling and surprising solutions.
Through the lens of bricolage, you will be challenged to disrupt established design methodologies by taking a new perspective to themes such as time, movement, and layering while anchoring core ideas in real-world scenarios.
Students, professionals and design enthusiasts are encouraged to attend. No advanced knowledge or preparation is required.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Jenny Kam designs for natural user interfaces (NUI) incubation and Kinect for Windows at Microsoft, where she also consults with clients to create exclusive Kinect-driven retail and fitness experiences. She advocates “appropriate design” that leverages empirical data to craft compelling frameworks for a range of technologies.
