IxDA Seattle presents this event as part of the Seattle Design Festival. This event is hosted by The Collective Seattle.
As humans (who also happen to be designers) we balance a variety of things in our daily lives, such as: family and career, business and community, local and global focus, human and high tech consideration, accessibility, ethics, and many other themes. But we rarely have an opportunity to share with one another our vulnerabilities, our successes, and most importantly, our failures. This event will give us the opportunity to learn from designers in different fields about their own, personal balancing acts. Hear stories from your fellow designers about they find and maintain balance; how they shift or re-align balance; and perhaps even how they reject balance.
